A poor day can sometimes be the beginning of something new. This is what happened between these two dogs, Thor and Petunia, who formed a strong connection between them. Their bond grew after they were both hit by cars on the same day but in separate locations.
Thor, a German Shepherd, was hit by a speeding car and suffered two broken legs. He was brought to a shelter after getting treatment at a veterinarian clinic. The shelter, however, could not care for the dog and had to move him to another facility. See, the dog had extensive wounds, and the shelter did not have experience with such.
The German Shepherd was sent to the Phoenix Animals Benefit Club (ABC). The animal shelter enthusiastically accepted Thor and offered to provide for his needs. And that was where Thor met Petunia.
Petunia had the same fate as Thor on the same day. The dog was promptly transported to ABC for treatment of her wounds. It was a good thing that the dog’s injuries were not as bad as Thor’s.
There was an instant connection between Thor and Petunia upon their first meeting. Thor initiated the process of getting to know Petunia better. Despite their injuries, they were seen cuddling together.
After the two canines had healed completely, they remained at the animal shelter while they waited for the right people to adopt them. There, the two canines spent most of their time together. Thor and Petunia would frequently play, sleep, and eat together. They would do different activities, and they would always do them together.
Even the volunteers at the shelter recognized and appreciated the beauty of the dogs’ bond. The volunteers stated that they had never witnessed this type of connection develop despite the harrowing experience that the two dogs had experienced.
