An animal rescue group did not hesitate to use a new method that was also innovative to advertise that one of its dogs was available for adoption. The Silicon Valley-based humane society’s advertisement for Eddie the Terrible, a 2-year-old Chihuahua, was one of the weirdest ads ever as it did not mince words to describe the dog.
The advertisement stated that Eddie was impolite. He was a vicious creature around other dogs. Even though the dog was house-trained, he did not enjoy being in his kennel. He was not good with children, and the dog’s shelter went so far as to call him a jerk.
Additionally, the group did not hesitate to inform anyone reading the ad of the three reasons why they should not adopt the dog. One of the reasons is that Eddie would lose his temper when he saw other dogs, which frequently resulted in fights.
Eddie is not a dog who was friendly to children, even though the organization had many other dogs. The canine used to be highly anxious around some adults as well. Even though the dog has never bitten anyone before, the shelter is concerned that it may do so soon.
The shelter noted that the dog’s behavior in a home environment was exemplary. He was friendly, entertaining, and loyal. He also enjoyed playing fetch. However, the dog was not social.
Eddie’s unwillingness to sleep in his crate, despite being crate-trained, is the third reason for not choosing to adopt him. See, he favors sleeping in a bed.
A retired couple adopted the dog, although the adoption ad was brutally honest and showed Eddie’s wrong side. The couple had a lot of work but were willing to do it.
You are fearless enough to adopt Eddie! Congrats!
