The search begins
After losing their beloved 8-year-old dog – Kate – after a lymphoma diagnosis, the sisters were devastated. To brighten up their lives, they decided to adopt a new dog.
The nuns wanted a dog no one else was were looking to adopt. To start, they went to the local shelter in search of the least wanted dog. And they found Remy, a 9-year-old Pit Bull. Remy had two disadvantages; she is a Pit Bull that was a senior dog.
Instead of making Remy less desirable for the nuns, it only made them want her more. They looked forward to providing a loving home for this unwanted dog.
The sisters are past 70 years old. They felt like watching over Remy the last few years of her life. They had a common bond. All were seniors.
Their final decision
The administrator confessed he was surprised that three nuns were not intimidated by the idea of adopting a Pit Bull.
The adoption was so heartwarming for the staff that a couple of volunteers covered all of the adoption costs., Remy has found a home, and the three sisters found a way to ease their sadness.
Remy is now shinning and happy. She has toys, comfortable beds, a backyard, and three loving women willing to make her life everything she deserves. And more. As for the nuns, they couldn’t be happier with their decision. Each sister has a bond with Remy that unbreakable
