Dog burns in massive fire in Minnesota, it killed a litter of puppies. The mother of these pups, Lexi, however, was able to survive but not without sustaining severe burns. She miraculously found a way to escape from her melting kennel.
After losing their property, the dog owners decided to put Lexi to euthanasia as they thought they couldn’t sustain anymore the care that she needed. They brought her to a vet clinic thinking it was the last option and which would make everything way easier both for them and for Lexi.
Caught by her sweetness and charm, a vet tech falls in love with Lexi, and he reaches out to rescue her. With their help, Lexi gradually recovers physically and mentally. She lost so much, and the most hurtful thing is she lost her family both her puppies and her owners.
The emotional and mental damage was more significant in her case, we could say. Ruff Start Rescue facilitated her rehabilitation. They made her an Instagram account later on in hopes to find her forever home, one that would help her heal and give the love she well deserves.
An Indiana Firefighter, Travis Oliver spotted Lexi and was captivated by her resilience. The interested party immediately applied to adopt her. And though, they did not allow adoption from outside the state; they made an exemption for Travis Oliver, they thought Lexi just found her match.
Travis is a firefighter who knows how much harm fire can do to the lives of people and animals; that is why they knew he would give Lexi the best remedy from her loss.
After the rescue settled the adoption, Travis and his family drove to fetch Lexi. They brought with them their dog too named Odin, and they instantly clicked. Lexi finally found herself a home, and we hope for nothing but the best!
