With this dog needs help video and several other social media platforms and the emergence of citizen journalism, it is no longer difficult to make anyone, or anything get traction over the internet.
From the most menial of things to the most complex ones, the world we are living now can be accessed in one click. It is also easy to be instant celebrity nowadays, especially when someone does good things and luckily gets filmed by a bystander nearby.
Deputy Sheriff Josh Fiorelli is no stranger to this instant fame as his photo of comforting a disgruntled dog goes viral after it was uploaded on the web.
Fiorelli was seen comforting a dog who was hit by a car, even giving the pooch a jacket because the dog looked too scared of the surrounding. The deputy sheriff did not leave the side of the dog until help came moments later.
It was such a beautiful moment between a dog and a stranger, showing what compassion truly means, especially to someone who got struck by a truck and did not know what to do. /

Many social media users lauded the love shown by the cop, saying this is not an everyday scene one can capture and experience. For them, Fiorelli’s act is one of a kind and deserves the merit it gets after the photo went viral online
Of course, the cop’s good deed did not fall on blind eyes as he was recognized for such display of compassion towards the dog. The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) later on provided a simple token to show their appreciation to Fiorelli.
Fiorelli was given a framed certificate by the said organization and a box of vegan cookies.
For his, Fiorelli said this is not a big deal since he is an animal lover too. He added that he would continue to do similar good deeds to both human and animals he encounters every day.
