All rewards are well worth the wait. And after 11 years of patiently waiting, senior Pit Bull Wiggles has finally found a home.
Wiggles became an animal shelter’s longest resident. Her original family had no choice but to relinquish her due to her numerous allergies and costly treatment. At age three, she moved into a new shelter and received proper medical treatment.
When she turned nine, the veterinarian revealed that she has a huge tumor. The good news though is that the tumor was benign and poses no threat to her health. They determined that operating on her would be risky, therefore they chose not to move it or do something about it. Nonetheless, when her potential adopters discovered that her tumor was the size of a melon, they turned away and looked for another dog instead.
In addition to her condition, finding a family without children was another obstacle to her adoption. Wiggles was determined to best live with a family that didn’t have kids. Instead of giving up, the shelter went the extra mile to ensure that she was adopted by a loving family who would provide for her and would give her the things that she deserves. The staff shared her story online, and Wiggles finally got the attention that she deserved!
It is fortunate that we can all easily communicate over the Internet. With that, Wiggles discovered via social media a couple who was willing to accept her imperfections. The couple’s dog passed due to cancer. This experience more than qualified them to be her new owner.
Wiggles waited a very long time to meet the people who will care for and adore her, while the couple desired a dog with whom they can lavish their love and attention. It was fated.
This family took 11 years to become what it is now. The trick was to stay patient since the right time will ultimately arrive.
