For animal lovers, there’s nothing better than seeing two pets become best friends. It’s deeply satisfying to watch animals, significantly different species, get along.
A woman named Tori experienced this when she adopted a dog, and shortly after, a cow.
Tori came across a pit bull puppy given away by his previous owner. She couldn’t resist the urge to help, so she adopted him. She named him Oscar, and he turned out the be an adorable and loving dog.
Tori also found a young bull they wanted to sell. Many dairy farms have no use for young bulls and usually dispose of them. Tori couldn’t imagine what would happen to the calf, so she adopted him and gave him the name Benny.
A New Beginning
At first, the dog didn’t know how to react to Benny. Oscar had no idea what he was looking at alongside him. However, something clicked when the cow put his head down and ran towards Oscar. Both animals realized that they wanted to play with each other at that moment.
Despite the size difference, Oscar and Benny adjusted well with each other. The cow likes to give headbutts but is never too forceful. Sometimes Oscar would find Benny while the cow was sitting, and he would nudge him gently.
Tori knew that the two animals would acknowledge each other. However, she didn’t expect them to become so close to each other. Of course, she couldn’t have wished for a better outcome.
What Tori did for these two animals is exemplary. If not for her, their fates would be uncertain or even bleak. She’s set an example for other pet owners out there. There are many more like Benny and Oscar, and any of us could be like Tori.
